Angelina Jolie Hosts Wild Horse Nine Screening, Reunites With John Malkovich — and Sharon Stone Shows Up

I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, and I can tell you the rarest thing in Hollywood isn’t a nude scene. It’s Angelina Jolie on a red carpet she doesn’t have to be on.

Angelina Jolie hosted a special screening of Martin McDonagh’s Wild Horse Nine in Hollywood on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, and reunited with her Changeling co-star John Malkovich on the carpet. She isn’t in the film. Sharon Stone was in the room too. The event at the Linwood Dunn Theater was a tastemaker night ahead of the movie’s U.S. release on Nov. 6, and Jolie hosted it, according to ADN Radio and ELLE España (ADN Radio, ELLE España). What happened at the Wild Horse Nine screening

Jolie arrived in her usual black and white, but looser than usual. W Magazine describes “a billowy white top, a floor-grazing black skirt, and glossy stilettos” under “an oversized cape-like black coat featuring white cuffs,” calling the look “slouchy, satiny, and decidedly undone” (W Magazine).

Inside, she posed with Malkovich, with Parker Posey and with the film’s Chilean star Mariana Di Girolamo. ADN Radio lists McDonagh, Malkovich, Steve Buscemi, Posey and Di Girolamo at the event, plus producer Graham Broadbent and casting director Sarah Finn (ADN Radio).

The surprise guest was Sharon Stone. ELLE España reports she came with one of her sons, and notes that the two stars have never worked together, though Stone has publicly praised Jolie’s humanitarian work, calling her a brave, committed woman who, in ELLE’s words, “predica con el ejemplo” (leads by example) (ELLE España). Wild Horse Nine is Malkovich’s big moment. Searchlight’s synopsis: shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are sent from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief MJ (Buscemi), and Chris’s bond with two rebellious students (Di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) threatens to blow up the trip (Searchlight Pictures). Deadline reports the film drew an almost 15-minute ovation at its Venice premiere, and Malkovich won the festival’s Volpi Cup for Best Actor (Deadline).

Angelina on the carpet: 2025-2026

She has picked her nights carefully: her own film Couture in Paris and at a screening in June 2026, the Rome Film Festival in 2025, a Tom Ford night in Shanghai and a Madame Figaro cover.
