Olandria’s Vixen Halloween Costume Has Everyone Calling Her Mother
Every Halloween some woman shows up as a superhero I’ve never heard of and I go home and read the whole Wikipedia page. Drunk. At four in the morning. This year it was Vixen.
Love Island USA’s Olandria Carthen went as DC Comics’ Vixen for Halloween 2026: a plunging red and orange bodysuit, clawed elbow gloves, a pixie cut and the white tooth totem necklace. A behind-the-scenes clip captioned “oh that’s mother olandria” passed 540,000 views on X.
The clip did 15,000 likes and 1,500 reposts. Comic fans loved that she picked a heroine who doesn’t get a movie (ComicBasics).

Vixen is Mari McCabe, a supermodel by day who uses the Tantu Totem to borrow the power of any animal. Olandria’s version is a glossy red bodysuit with orange panels, cut low down the front and open at the stomach, red gloves past the elbow with claws, white hoops, a short black pixie and the white tooth collar that stands in for the totem. In the clip she’s in the make-up chair, giving the camera attitude and pointing at her own chest like she’s daring someone to say something.
