Rihanna, 38, just modeled Savage X Fenty’s Christmas drop herself: a red-and-pink floral lace teddy with a thong back, sheer black thigh-highs and pointed heels, posed between bow-covered Christmas trees. I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, and I know a money shot when I see one.

The official Rihanna-owned brand posted the shoot on Monday, Nov. 2, with a one-line caption: “Because y’all deserve a little extra this holiday season 🎀.” The link in that post goes straight to the exact look, the Fleur Fantasty Teddy 2-Piece Set, which savagex.com labels “Rihanna’s Pick.” The Daily Mail called it her “racy Christmas lingerie range,” Page Six said she “gets cheeky while decking the halls,” and The Sun put her on the “naughty list.”

We don’t re-host brand photos, so here are the official posts. The first is Savage X Fenty’s own, with both frames; Complex’s repost had passed 63,000 views by Wednesday morning, Bangkok time:

What happened

Savage X Fenty put the two photos on X at 10:07 p.m. Bangkok time on Monday, Nov. 2 (10:07 a.m. Eastern), tagging @rihanna, and the same shoot went up on its Instagram, e-daily.gr and the Daily Mail report. In the front frame she stands between two trees decorated with red, pink and striped ribbons instead of ornaments, silver-wrapped gifts at her feet. The back frame is the one doing the numbers: Rihanna looks over her shoulder, and the teddy’s thong back and low, open back are on full display.

By about 10:30 a.m. Bangkok time on Wednesday, Nov. 4, the brand’s X post had 30,500 views, 2,263 likes and 277 bookmarks; Complex’s version had 63,900 views and 1,596 likes. Brazil’s Revista Monet rounded up the comments under the Instagram post (translated from Portuguese): “She models, she sells and she owns it!” and “Here I go getting into debt again!”

The look, piece by piece

Here’s what the brand’s own product page says, plus what the outlets saw in the photos:

• The teddy. “Stretchy multicolored floral lace” with unlined cups, a thong back and a pull-on design, “for a barely-there silhouette,” per savagex.com. It’s 87% nylon and 13% elastane. In the photos the flowers are red and pink on black lace, with black lace trim that, as Total Pro Sports put it, “really pops.”
• The back. A low, open back and high-cut sides, per Total Pro Sports. That’s the second frame.
• The second piece. The set’s product page lists a second floral-lace item with an elastic pull-on fit and a satin bow detail. There’s a black bow at her neck in the back frame; whether that’s the piece is our read, not the brand’s.
• Legs and shoes. Sheer black thigh-high stockings and pointed black heels, per the Daily Mail.
• The price. The brand’s link card promises “exclusive styles, member-only pricing.” When we checked on Nov. 4, the page didn’t show a public price, so we’re not guessing one.

Three holiday drops in five weeks

This isn’t Rihanna’s first holiday tease of 2026; it’s her third:

• Oct. 2. A burgundy-and-blue lace bra and thong with stockings and garters, captioned “and YES it’s already that time! no back n forth,” per Marca.
• Oct. 30-31. The 21-second “satin secrets 🤫” reel: a blue satin robe sliding off her shoulders over a sheer purple plunge bra. Her X post alone passed 2.7 million views in a day.
• Nov. 2. The Christmas trees, the bows and the Fleur Fantasty Teddy.

Same pattern every time: the founder is the model, and the link goes straight to the product.

Why it matters now: the lingerie Christmas war

Rihanna isn’t alone under the tree. Sydney Sweeney‘s Syrn opened its first holiday shop on Oct. 27 after a campaign where she played Christmas-movie characters in lingerie (Page Six), and Skims had the Kardashian-Jenner sisters cozying up to Santa in its holiday campaign (Page Six). Savage X Fenty, launched in 2018, is the oldest of the three, it teased the season first (Oct. 2), and it keeps coming back with the founder herself in the lace.

The other subplot: fans in the comments still want music. The Daily Mail notes this came weeks after a Fenty Beauty TikTok live where she held up a 10-product box and said, “If there are ten products in a vault, then I have at least 17 vaults,” which fans read as 170-plus unreleased songs. Her last studio album, “Anti,” came out in January 2016.

Reported: the stockings and heels (Daily Mail), the open back and high-cut sides (Total Pro Sports), the Instagram comments (Revista Monet), the “17 vaults” quote (Daily Mail).

My read (opinion): that the bow at her neck is the set’s second piece, and that she’s winning the lingerie Christmas. Neither is anything Savage X Fenty has said.
