Rihanna, 38, just modeled Savage X Fenty’s Christmas drop herself: a red-and-pink floral lace teddy with a thong back, sheer black thigh-highs and pointed heels, posed between bow-covered Christmas trees. I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, and I know a money shot when I see one.

The official Rihanna-owned brand posted the shoot on Monday, Nov. 2, with a one-line caption: “Because y’all deserve a little extra this holiday season 🎀.” The link in that post goes straight to the exact look, the Fleur Fantasty Teddy 2-Piece Set, which savagex.com labels “Rihanna’s Pick.” The Daily Mail called it her “racy Christmas lingerie range,” Page Six said she “gets cheeky while decking the halls,” and The Sun put her on the “naughty list.”

Below: the posts, the look piece by piece with what the product page actually says, her three holiday drops in five weeks, the lingerie Christmas war she just walked into, and where to watch her sexiest scenes.

What happened

Savage X Fenty put the two photos on X at 10:07 p.m. Bangkok time on Monday, Nov. 2 (10:07 a.m. Eastern), tagging @rihanna, and the same shoot went up on its Instagram, e-daily.gr and the Daily Mail report. In the front frame she stands between two trees decorated with red, pink and striped ribbons instead of ornaments, silver-wrapped gifts at her feet. The back frame is the one doing the numbers: Rihanna looks over her shoulder, and the teddy’s thong back and low, open back are on full display.

By about 10:30 a.m. Bangkok time on Wednesday, Nov. 4, the brand’s X post had 30,500 views, 2,263 likes and 277 bookmarks; Complex’s version had 63,900 views and 1,596 likes. Brazil’s Revista Monet rounded up the comments under the Instagram post (translated from Portuguese): “She models, she sells and she owns it!” and “Here I go getting into debt again!”

Rihanna doesn’t wait for Santa. She owns the workshop, writes the list and then puts herself under the tree with a bow at her throat. Floral lace cut into a thong, sheer thigh-highs, heels, and that look over the shoulder that says she knows exactly where your eyes went.

I’ve bought presents that cost more than a car, darling, and not one of them came wrapped this well. The rarest thing on any set is a woman who sells the fantasy and signs the checks. Every other brand hired a model for Christmas. RiRi cast the boss and turned the naughty list into a shopping list.
