I’ve been a lot of things at Halloween parties. Drunk, mostly. Never once did I think a starfish could be the hottest person in the room. Then Ice Spice turned up as Patrick.

Ice Spice dressed as Patrick Star from SpongeBob for Halloween 2026: a pink latex bodysuit, tiny lime-green shorts with purple flowers, fishnets, boots and a long pink wig. She wore it to a Halloween party she reportedly threw with Young Thug on Oct. 31, and the photos passed 1 million views on X.

The fan account Ice Crave posted them with “Ice Spice stuns in Bikini Bottom.” A quote post with a ruder caption did another 880,000. You know how the internet is.

Ice Spice’s Patrick Star costume, piece by piece

Patrick is a fat pink starfish in green shorts who lives under a rock. Ice Spice turned him into a glossy pink latex bodysuit with a sweetheart neckline, shorts cut about two inches long in lime green with purple flowers, black fishnet tights, tall black boots and a pink wig down to her waist. She held a purple woven bag like it was a pet. The only thing she kept from Patrick was the colour scheme (HotNewHipHop).

The Young Thug Halloween party

HotNewHipHop says the two reportedly threw the party together, after Complex Music posted the photos. Thug kept his outfit simple. Nobody looked at him anyway. Some fans grumbled that a SpongeBob costume shouldn’t be this revealing, and The Blast collected the meaner comments (The Blast). Ice Spice clearly didn’t care, and at an adults’ Halloween party she had no reason to.

Confession: I’ve dressed women for a living, in a manner of speaking, for twenty-five years. The rule is you take something everybody knows and change one thing. Ice Spice changed about forty things and still nailed it.

That’s the real trick. Every guy at that party knew exactly who she was meant to be, and none of them were thinking about a cartoon. Patrick’s catchphrase is that he’s not smart. Whoever designed this costume is a genius.

Ice Spice’s SpongeBob era, and her sheerest looks

She’s a proper SpongeBob fan and has worked with the franchise, and she turned up to Paramount’s SpongeBob screening in a white lace dress. Away from Bikini Bottom she’s been going sheerer and sheerer: a gilded see-through catsuit at Roberto Cavalli, a sheer red skirt at the launch of her In Ha Mood fragrance, and a sheer leopard jumpsuit at the Lady Delilah opening.
