I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes. If there’s one thing I know better than anyone on X, it’s how easy it is to make a body look like something it isn’t. A lens, an angle, a waistband, a step mid-stride. That’s all a “bump” photo needs.

The internet has decided Millie Bobby Brown is pregnant. Nobody who actually knows has said so. On Oct. 31 a post on X claimed she and husband Jake Bongiovi “were spotted last night in NYC with Millie showing a baby bump after adopting their second child 3 months ago.” It passed 1.4 million views in under a day (@Ghost91ne on X).

Here’s what’s real and what isn’t. Confirmed: the couple have adopted two children, a daughter announced in August 2025 and a son they introduced on Sept. 17, 2026 (Martin Cid Magazine). Not confirmed: any pregnancy. Neither of them, nor any rep, has said a word, and even the outlets running the rumor admit it hasn’t been verified (Indulge Express).

Rumor check: the post, what the press actually reported, a timeline of every Millie “bump” story, and my take on why this keeps happening. Jump to Nico’s Take →

Where the “last night” photos come from

The viral post doesn’t say who took its photos or when. The last New York night out the press actually reported was a dinner date on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at The Corner Store, where Vogue said the pair went “monochromatic” for a parents’ night out (Vogue). The Daily Mail covered the same night and said they held hands on the way to dinner (Daily Mail). Indulge Express was already writing about “viral photo buzz” on Oct. 25, days before the post that blew up (Indulge Express). So “last night” is doing a lot of work.

And “3 months ago” is wrong too. The son was introduced on Sept. 17, about six weeks before the post (Martin Cid Magazine).

What she and Jake have actually said

In August 2025 she wrote on Instagram: “This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.” They have never shared the children’s names or faces. Her latest carousel showed only a tiny hand and two feet in pumpkin socks (Martin Cid Magazine).

NICO’S TAKE

"Nico

This is my world, so let me be blunt. I have spent 25 years making bodies look a certain way on camera. Shoot from below with a long lens, catch someone mid-step in a low waistband, and you can put a “bump” on anyone. I could do it to you in a parking lot. A blurry street photo is not evidence. It’s a shape.

My take: this rumor isn’t about Millie at all. It’s about an audience that can’t accept a 22-year-old built her family through adoption and is fine with it. Every few months they go hunting for the “real” announcement. Mirror selfie, shopping bags, now a dinner date. Same story, new photo.

And here’s what nobody in the replies will admit. One account with 7,000 followers wrote one sentence and got 1.4 million views, because “pregnant” travels faster than “adopted” ever will. I run a media business. I know exactly why that sentence was written that way.

If she’s expecting, she’ll tell us, the way she told us twice before: on her own terms, in her own words. Until then, the only confirmed news is two kids, one husband and a dinner at The Corner Store. That’s the story. Everything else is a guess.

Tonight’s other viral couple is the real deal: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s yacht kiss →
