I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes. For twenty-five years I watched Hollywood look down on my world, and then quietly copy it. This week a Netflix leading man stopped copying and walked straight in the front door. With an ownership stake in his pocket.

Michele Morrone, Massimo from 365 Days, has launched his own paid subscription page. A Turkish post on X calling him an “adult content creator” passed 2.5 million views in a day (@dengeplus on X). The real story is sharper than the headline: it isn’t OnlyFans, it’s Subs.com, and he isn’t just posting there. He bought in.

Subs.com announced on Oct. 29 that the Italian actor, 36, joined as “both a creator and part-owner” (PR Newswire, TMZ). His page costs $19.99 a month, with pay-per-view posts from $5 to $35, the Daily Mail reported, calling it an “OnlyFans-style website” (Daily Mail).

What Michele Morrone announced

On Instagram he wrote: “Everyone thinks they know me. Through films, photographs, brands, music, social media… But the truth is, you’ve only seen one part of me. There’s a world I don’t share with just anyone. A more personal, more authentic side. Unfiltered. And I’ve decided to open that door for you” (Daily Mail, Fashion Times).

The hook is access. He promised “a private space where we can be closer, where you can get the chance to have a LIVE VIDEO CALL WITH ME,” and teased the rest: “I don’t want to tell you everything right now. Because some things can’t be explained, they have to be discovered” (Fashion Times, Bollywoodshaadis). Subs.com’s promo lists exclusive photos, videos, behind-the-scenes and studio shoots that won’t appear on Instagram or X (Fashion Times).

In the company release he framed it as business, not just a page: “Subs.com gives me the freedom to connect with my fans in a way that’s real, personal, and completely mine. And becoming an owner makes this much bigger than just launching a page” (PR Newswire).

Who’s behind Subs.com

The site was founded by Tim Stokely, who co-founded OnlyFans (Daily Mail, Fashion Times). Morrone follows Megan Fox, his Subservience co-star, who became a part-owner weeks earlier. He called the two of them “co-founders”; the company’s own announcement uses “part-owner,” and neither side disclosed the size of his stake (Fashion Times).

NICO’S TAKE

"Nico

I’ll say it plainly, because I’ve lived it: this is the smartest move a mainstream actor has made in years, and most of the people laughing at him have no idea why.

Massimo was always an adult product. 365 Days was sold on one thing, a man staring into the lens like he owns the room, and Netflix took the money. Morrone did the work, the studio kept the upside. From where I sit, he’s not lowering himself. He’s cutting out the middleman. That’s exactly what every smart performer in my industry learned to do after 2016: stop renting your face to someone else’s platform and own the pipe.

And that’s the word that matters here: owner. Anybody can open a page. The headline in my world is that he took equity. I’ve watched hundreds of talented people make a fortune for platforms and walk away with nothing. The ones who are still standing are the ones who owned something. He’s 36, at the top of his heat, and he negotiated a piece of the house before he dealt a single card. That’s not a desperate actor. That’s a producer.

Now the part nobody will tell him. Twenty-five years behind the camera taught me that the camera is not the hard part; the schedule is. A subscription doesn’t care that you’re filming in New Jersey this week. Fans pay monthly and they expect something monthly. The most expensive thing you can sell is ‘authentic,’ because you have to manufacture it on deadline, forever. I’ve seen bigger names than his burn out in a year.

My prediction? He won’t go explicit, and he doesn’t need to. What he’s selling is the tease: the stare, the voice, the live call, the feeling of being the one he’s talking to. In my business we call that the most profitable product there is, because it never fully delivers, so they never stop paying. $19.99 is above what most creators charge, and he’ll get it.

And Hollywood? It will clutch its pearls for a week, then cast him again. He’s already shooting The Housemaid’s Secret, and the company says Maserati: The Brothers with Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino is coming. The line between my world and theirs isn’t a wall anymore. It’s a paywall, and the talent just figured out who should be collecting at the door.

Watch: the scenes that built Massimo

This is why a subscription page with his name on it sold out the conversation in a day. Two moments from the trilogy, from our 365 Days hub:

The scene that made Massimo. Four minutes on his yacht off the Sicilian coast after Laura finally makes her own choice: Morrone and Anna-Maria Sieklucka in the cabin, the sea in the windows, the stare that launched a million edits. This is the image he’s selling now.
