Kylie Jenner is selling winter coats, and in the new ads she’s wearing a coat, a pair of heels and absolutely nothing else. Her clothing label Khy posted the campaign for its “After Dark” winter collection on Instagram on Oct. 24 and 25, and by Monday the shots were all over the Daily Mail, InStyle and The Sun. The collection goes on sale today, Tuesday, Oct. 27. Kylie Jenner, 29, shot it at night in the hills above Los Angeles, nine days after her $50 million Fantasy Bra walk at the Victoria’s Secret show.

I’m Nico Grey. I make adult films, I run NicoGrey.com and Scandal Planet, and I keep a few investment, crypto and AI companies busy on the side. So when a founder sells a winter coat by wearing nothing under it, I read it as marketing first. Here’s every look, what’s actually in the drop and roughly what it will cost.

What happened

Khy opened the campaign on Oct. 24 with an Instagram post captioned “khy after dark. a love letter to LA nights.” The next day it followed with a second post, written in the first person: “there’s something about LA at night that i’ve always loved. the lights, the energy, the way the city feels after dark.” That second post passed 114,000 likes. Entertainment Now reports Kylie shared the images on her own Instagram as well as the brand’s.

In the photos that took off, she wears a cropped black jacket with brown faux-fur trim and black heels, with no pants or underwear, and in others she’s naked under a long black coat, InStyle reports. The Daily Mail adds that she smokes a cigarette in some of the shots. The photographer was Quentin de Briey, with the city lights below her, according to ELLE, which had the first look at the collection on Oct. 22.

Kylie, this is the most honest product shot of the year: a winter coat, sold by a woman who clearly isn’t cold. Nine days ago you wore a $50 million bra for Victoria’s Secret. Today you’re telling the world a cropped jacket and a pair of heels count as an outfit. I respect it. I’ve pitched investors with less.

Timothée, she’s up in the Hollywood Hills at night in fur trim and stilettos, and a Page Six source said last week you’re “not there yet”? Bold strategy, my friend.

Khy, free advice from a guy who sells desire for a living: put a price on the coat and keep the woman priceless. Want to see how far Kylie usually goes? Her hub has the rest →
