Tate McRae’s “Housewife” video is viral again because Pop Base posted it for National Housewife Day. Released October 15, 2026 and shot in the south of France, it has Tate dancing through a mansion and on a yacht singing “be my own housewife”.

The Pop Base post passed 240,000 views and 12,000 likes. Her own post of the clip has been seen more than 29 million times.

What happens in the Housewife video

Directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, choreographed by Sergio Reis, the man behind moves for Madonna and Miley. Tate dances through a marble villa in a black slip, sunbathes on a yacht in a blue bikini, pushes a baby carriage stuffed with cash (Rolling Stone noticed that one), and slowly gets fed up with the boyfriend. The hook: “I just wanna make a lot of money, be my own housewife / You could be the one I’m calling honey, be my sex on the side.” It ends with her tossing a coin into a wishing well and smiling.

For the campaign she posed in a red bikini next to that same pram full of money. Subtle as a brick. Effective as a brick.

“A woman who can’t be contained”

She teased it on The Tonight Show in a black sheer panel dress, telling Jimmy Fallon the song is about “a woman who can’t be contained” and that her fans never catch her Easter eggs. The next day, launching her TATE 01 fragrance in a white Saint Laurent slip, she told PEOPLE it’s about “the wild side of being a woman”. Days later she performed at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and turned up to the afterparty in vintage Moschino leopard.
