Power Sex Scenes: Angela, Tasha, Holly and Every Steamy Night on Starz

Lela Loren and Omari Hardwick in the window scene (1:40). Every other Power sex scene, from season 1 to the final episodes, is below.

On paper, Power is a crime show about a New York nightclub owner who secretly runs a drug empire. In reality, half the audience tuned in for what happened after the club closed. Courtney A. Kemp and 50 Cent built a soap opera with guns, and the love scenes were never filler: Ghost’s affair with Angela drives the whole plot, Tasha’s revenge is played out in other men’s beds, and Tommy and Holly are the most combustible couple on Starz. Here are the 36 best Power sex scenes across all six seasons, in HD, each with its length and the story behind it. Lela Loren and Naturi Naughton both have pages of their own: Lela Loren and Naturi Naughton, and so does La La Anthony.

The Power Window Scene: Angela and Ghost (1:40)

Ghost walks in with his tie loose, Angela pulls him in by the collar, and they do not even make it to the bedroom. Clothes come off on the way across the apartment, he lays her back on the couch, and then the scene ends with the shot everyone remembers: Angela naked against the floor-to-ceiling window, arms up on the glass, with half of Manhattan below her. Bold, glossy and very Power.

Why does this one top the list? Because it is the scene that sums up the Angela and Ghost affair better than any argument they ever had. Two people who should never be together, in a glass box above the city where anybody could see them, and neither of them cares. It became the image fans picture when someone says Power, and it still pulls more searches than any other moment from the show.

Angela and Ghost: Lela Loren’s Scenes

Angela Valdes is a federal prosecutor chasing a kingpin she does not know is her first love. That is the engine of the first three seasons, and almost every one of their scenes plays with the same question: how long can she keep pretending she does not see who he is? Lela Loren has more love scenes than anyone else in the series, and they range from tender to borderline reckless. You can find more of her on the Lela Loren page.

Angela and Ghost, the Old Flame Catches, Power (2:47)

This is where the whole show really starts. Angela Valdes and James St. Patrick were each other’s first love, and twenty years later they bump into each other at his nightclub, Truth. She is a federal prosecutor now, he is supposed to be a respectable club owner, and neither of them can stop staring. When they finally get behind a closed door, the slip comes off the shoulder, he lifts her onto the desk, and you can feel two decades of what-ifs disappearing. Lela Loren and Omari Hardwick had chemistry from the first minute, and this scene proves it.

Angela and Ghost in Bed, Power (1:44)

Slow, sleepy and very intimate. Ghost runs a finger along the waistband of Angela’s underwear, the camera drifts up over the tangled sheets, and the two of them move together like people who have done this before and missed it badly. Afterwards Angela sits up, hair everywhere, and looks at him like she already knows this is going to cost her. That look is the whole relationship in one frame: she wants him, and she is not stupid.

Angela and Greg Knox, Power (1:27)

Before Ghost came back into her life, Angela had Greg Knox, the FBI agent working the same drug case she is. He is steady, decent and devoted, which is exactly the problem. In this scene the two of them are in bed in her apartment, warm and close under the lamp, and for a minute it looks like the safe choice might be enough. Then she gets up alone, sits on the edge of the bathroom tub and stares at the floor. Lela Loren plays that silence beautifully.

Angela and Ghost, Daylight Edition, Power (2:21)

It starts with a kiss at the door while he is still in his suit and ends in a bright white bed with the city outside the window. This is one of the warmest Angela and Ghost scenes in the whole series, all daylight, laughter and long kisses instead of the usual guilt and shadows. Ghost holds his head in his hands for a second, the way he does when he knows he is in too deep, and then he goes right back to her.

After the Window: Strawberries in Bed, Power (1:07)

The same afternoon, a little later. Angela and Ghost are lying in a tangle of white sheets with the skyline behind them, half asleep, his hand on her back. There is a bowl of strawberries on the bed and nowhere either of them has to be. Then her phone buzzes, and you remember that every lazy moment these two steal comes with a bill attached.

Angela and Ghost on the Dining Table, Power (1:58)

The lights are off, the blinds are half closed and nobody bothers with the bedroom. Ghost sweeps Angela onto the round dining table, she pulls his shirt open and the whole thing turns urgent and rough in the best way. Shot mostly in silhouette, it feels like something they are hiding even from themselves, which is fitting, because by now Angela knows exactly who he really is.

Angela and Ghost by the Night Skyline, Power (1:39)

Late at night in a dark apartment, with the city lights glittering behind them, Angela in a thin camisole slides her hands over Ghost’s tattooed back. Nobody says much. They just hold on to each other by the window, kissing slowly, like two people who know the next morning will be a mess. One of the moodiest, most romantic moments the show ever gave them.

Angela and Ghost in the Blue Bedroom, Power (3:23)

Greg Knox’s name lights up on the phone, and Angela ignores it. That tells you everything about where her loyalties are drifting. The rest of this long scene plays out in cool blue light: Angela in a nightie on the white headboard, Ghost reaching for her, the two of them wrapped together under the sheets. At the end she sits up alone with the sheet pulled around her, thinking. Over three minutes, and it earns every second.

Two Bedrooms, One Night, Season 5, Episode 7 (1:23)

Season 5 loves a parallel cut, and this is the best one. In one apartment Angela and Ghost reach for each other on the couch, in the other Tasha is with Terry Silver, the lawyer who has become far more than her lawyer. The editing jumps back and forth between the two couples until you are not sure which betrayal hurts more. Smart, steamy and a little cruel, which is the Power formula exactly.

Tasha St. Patrick: Naturi Naughton’s Scenes

Tasha is the wife, the business partner and, for a lot of viewers, the real hero of Power. She starts the show in a marriage that is quietly falling apart and ends it as one of the most dangerous people in the story. Her scenes follow that whole arc, from teasing in the back of a car in the pilot to an affair with her own lawyer and one last love scene in the final season. More on the Naturi Naughton page.

Tasha in the Back Seat, Season 1, Episode 1 (1:03)

Pilot episode. Tasha St. Patrick is in the back of the car on the way home, a little tipsy, slipping the strap of her dress down and teasing her way out of it, while Shawn, the young driver, tries very hard to keep his eyes on the road and keeps glancing at the mirror anyway. Nothing happens yet. But anyone who watched season 1 knows exactly where those glances end up.

The Wife and the Mistress, Power (1:54)

First Ghost is with Tasha, foreheads together, her hands on his face, the comfortable closeness of a long marriage. Then the scene cuts across town to Angela, in white morning light, and suddenly it is a different woman and a different man in the same body. The show does this a lot, and it never stops being uncomfortable in the best possible way. You end up rooting for both women and furious with him.

Tasha Waits in the Hotel Suite, Power (2:04)

Tasha has booked a suite, put on black lingerie and is waiting on the bed for her husband. When Ghost arrives he barely gets his shirt off before she is on him, and for a minute it is the old Ghost and Tasha, the couple who built an empire together. The trouble is that the scene keeps cutting to Angela, and by the end you see Ghost staring into space, thinking about someone else.

Tasha and Ghost in the Penthouse, Power (3:13)

A long, slow one from the St. Patricks’ penthouse. Ghost and Tasha make love under the soft light of the bedroom, then lie together talking about the business while a text from Julio pops up on screen. That is the thing about this marriage: even in bed, the drug game is always the third person in the room. Naturi Naughton makes Tasha look happy and calculating at the same time, which is no easy trick.

Tasha in Black Lace, Season 3, Episode 4 (0:54)

No sex here, just a statement. Tasha gets dressed in front of a three-way mirror in black lace lingerie, taking her time, while Ghost stands in the bathroom on the phone. She knows he is watching. He knows she knows. It is a quiet power move from a woman who has decided she is not going to make it easy for him.

Tasha Takes the Top, Season 3, Episode 9 (1:04)

Season 3, and the marriage is in pieces, but the bedroom is still where Ghost and Tasha understand each other. She climbs on top, takes complete control and he just lies back and lets her. It is fiery, sweaty and over too soon, and the look on her face at the end says she has not forgiven him for anything.

Tasha and Terry Silver, Season 4, Episode 7 (1:01)

Terry Silver is Tasha’s defence attorney in season 4, and he is very good at his job. In this one the professional line disappears completely. A kiss in the living room, then the two of them on the floor of his apartment, her back arching on a pile of cushions while the city glows behind the curtains. For a woman who spent three seasons waiting for her husband to come home, it plays like freedom.

Tasha Slips Out of Bed, Season 6, Episode 15 (0:29)

Final season, final stretch. Tasha wakes before dawn next to a sleeping man, picks up her phone and sits on the edge of the bed, naked and thinking, the blue light from the window on her shoulders. After everything she has survived across six seasons, it is a strangely peaceful moment, and Naturi Naughton lets it breathe.

Tasha’s Last Love Scene, Season 6, Episode 15 (0:34)

Teal light, slow camera, hands everywhere. This is the last time we see Tasha in bed on the original Power, and the show films it like a dream: arms stretched over her head, half her face in shadow, the man underneath her barely visible. A soft goodbye to one of the toughest women on television.

Holly and Tommy: Lucy Walters’ Scenes

Holly is a waitress who falls for Tommy Egan, Ghost’s hot-headed partner, and turns his life upside down for three seasons. Their relationship is loud, jealous and very physical, and these are some of the most raw scenes Starz ever put on air. We left out one season 2 clip where Tommy restrains Holly on the bed, because it is a threat scene, not a love scene.

Holly and Tommy, the Morning After, Season 1, Episode 6 (2:39)

Holly is a waitress at Truth who wanders into Tommy Egan’s life and refuses to leave. In this scene she is in his loft in a blue bra and panties, running her hand over his buzz cut, kissing his neck, making him breakfast and teasing him until the hard man of the drug business is grinning like a man on a first date. It is sweet, sexy and a little dangerous, because nobody ever gets this close to Tommy without consequences.

Holly in Bed, Tasha on the Phone, Season 2, Episode 10 (0:33)

Holly is stretched out topless across the bed, playing on her phone and enjoying the view of Tommy walking around shirtless. Then his phone rings and the screen says Tasha. That is enough to ruin the mood for anyone else, but Holly just crawls across the bed and pulls him back down. Short, funny and very season 2.

Holly Rides Tommy on the Couch, Season 3, Episode 1 (0:41)

Season 3 opens and Holly and Tommy are still crazy about each other. She straddles him on the big leather couch in his loft, still in her jacket, and he can barely keep up. The camera keeps pulling back to show how huge and empty that apartment is, with just the two of them in the middle of it. Pure chemistry from Lucy Walters and Joseph Sikora.

Holly and Tommy Go All In, Season 3, Episode 4 (1:14)

No setup, no talking. Tommy and Holly go at each other in bed like it is the last time, which, if you know season 3, it nearly is. It is one of the most intense scenes on the whole show, sweaty and hard and full of the kind of desperation these two always had. Joseph Sikora’s Tommy rarely looks this out of control, and Lucy Walters matches him beat for beat.

A Long Afternoon in Tommy’s Loft, Power (3:20)

The longest Holly and Tommy scene on the page. It opens with Tommy sitting on the edge of the bed, deep in thought, and then Holly pulls him back into the sheets for a slow, lazy afternoon. Later she gets dressed in a black slip, he wraps his arms around her from behind by the window, and for once there is no gun, no deal and no phone call. Just two people in love in a sunny loft.

Lakeisha Grant: La La Anthony’s Scenes

Keisha is Tasha’s best friend, a hairdresser with terrible taste in dangerous men. First Kanan, later Tommy. Both stories end badly, but both start like this. See La La Anthony for more.

Keisha and Kanan, Season 2, Episode 4 (0:30)

Lakeisha Grant is Tasha’s best friend, and in season 2 she gets tangled up with Kanan, which is a terrible idea that the show makes look like a very good one. She lets her top drop in his living room, he sits back in the armchair, and she climbs onto his lap and takes her time. Thirty seconds of La La Anthony owning the room.

Keisha and Tommy at the Salon, Season 4, Episode 4 (0:58)

Season 4, and the most unlikely couple in Power. Keisha and Tommy have spent years throwing insults at each other, so when it finally happens it happens in her hair salon, after hours, between the chairs and the washbasins. She is in black lace, he is all hands, and the mirrors catch everything. Fans still argue about whether this pairing made any sense. Nobody argues that it was hot.

More Women of Power

Power had a huge cast over six seasons, and some of its hottest moments came from guest stars and recurring players: Soo in seasons 3 and 4, Candie dancing for Kanan, Garcelle Beauvais as Linda, the club and penthouse scenes of season 5 and Cassandra Haynes, the woman who nearly sinks Rashad Tate’s campaign in the final season.

Soo in the Blue Light, Power (1:07)

Soo turns up in seven episodes across seasons 3 and 4, and her scenes are some of the most stylish on the show. This one is lit entirely in electric blue and purple, a sunken tub, a glowing wall pattern and Sheena Sakai stretched across the edge while her lover kisses his way up. It looks like a music video and plays like a fever dream. When the light hits her face at the end, she looks like the one in charge.

Soo on the Couch, Season 4, Episode 5 (1:07)

Daylight this time, in a loft with a big grey couch and a row of glasses on the coffee table. Soo is naked across the cushions, her man kneels on the floor in front of her, and then the whole thing moves around the room. Halfway through, a text thread about Cristobal’s bricks pops up on screen, a reminder that in this world business never really stops. Sheena Sakai is fearless here, and it is one of the most explicit scenes the series ever aired.

Candie Undresses for Kanan, Season 3 (1:34)

Kanan sits at a kitchen table, arms crossed, looking like a man who has seen everything. Candie, in denim shorts and a pink top, puts on music and starts to dance for him, one piece of clothing at a time, stepping closer each time. 50 Cent barely moves a muscle and somehow that makes it hotter. A small role for Natalie Paul, but a scene people remember.

Linda After Dark, Season 5, Episode 3 (0:37)

Garcelle Beauvais only appears in one episode of Power, as Linda, but she makes it count. Night-time high-rise, the city lights behind the glass, a leather sofa and a man between her knees. It is quick and heated, and she looks like she is having the best night of the whole season. A great little cameo from a legend.

Up Against the Glass, Then Company, Season 5, Episode 2 (0:48)

A penthouse with a Midtown view, two women, one very happy client and a lot of window. Chelsea Watts is pressed against the glass, hands flat on it and laughing, when the door opens and Dre walks in on the whole thing with a straight face. One of the funniest interruptions in the series, and one of the sexiest openings to a scene.

In the Club Bathroom, Season 5, Episode 2 (0:30)

Same episode, different room. A woman in a red dress is bent over the sink of a glossy black nightclub bathroom, a man in a suit behind her, the mirrors throwing their reflections everywhere. Then someone walks in and catches them. Short and fast, the kind of scene Power dropped into a club night just to remind you what the money is for.

Melissa Mensah in the Dark, Season 5, Episode 10 (0:20)

Season 5 finale territory. A dark bedroom, a man on his back and Melissa Mensah moving slowly above him in the shadows, the light from the window just catching the edges. We cut the clip before the scene turns violent, because what comes through the door next has nothing to do with romance.

Cassandra and Tate Get Caught, Season 6, Episode 7 (0:33)

Councilman Rashad Tate is running for governor, which makes sleeping with Cassandra in a hotel room a very bad idea. They are in the middle of it when the door opens and a man in a suit walks straight in, hands raised, smiling. Cassandra scrambles to cover up, Tate looks like he has seen his campaign flash before his eyes, and the scene turns into a political thriller in about two seconds.

Cassandra and Tate’s Afternoon, Season 6, Episode 14 (0:58)

Later in the final season, Cassandra and Tate are no longer hiding as carefully. This is a long, warm afternoon in a hotel bed with geometric walls, her curls all over the pillow and the two of them taking their time. At the end Tate stands at the window in a white robe and she watches him from the sheets. Candace Neolani Maxwell is a real find.

Cassandra in a Robe, Tate in Trouble, Season 6, Episode 14 (0:39)

Cassandra wanders down the staircase in a white hotel robe, wraps herself around Tate and teases him while he tries to pay attention to a woman from his team who has just walked in. The robe keeps slipping, he keeps losing his train of thought. Light, flirty and a perfect little epilogue to their story.

Why Everyone Searches for Power Sex Scenes

Because on Power, sex is strategy. Ghost sleeps with the prosecutor who is building a case against him. Tasha takes her revenge with his rivals and his lawyers. Tommy falls for a waitress who knows too much. Every love scene moves the plot, and most of them come with a cliffhanger attached. Add Starz’s freedom to show more than network TV and a cast with real chemistry, and you get a crime drama whose love scenes are still searched years after the finale. The spin-offs keep the world alive too, so new viewers find the original every week.
