Megan Fox Is Single, ‘Unbothered’ by MGK and Dakota and Busy Making Money

Machine Gun Kelly spent the past week getting photographed with Dakota Johnson. Megan Fox, sources say, spent it not caring one bit. Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ on Wednesday, October 22, that Megan Fox, 40, is “completely unbothered” by MGK moving on with Dakota Johnson, that she’s single and “keeping it that way,” and that her focus is on “making money.” Megan hasn’t commented, and neither have MGK or Dakota.

I’m Nico Grey. I shoot adult content, I run NicoGrey.com and Scandal Planet, and the rest of my week goes to investment, crypto and AI companies. So when a source says a star is busy “making money,” I go and check the deals. Below you’ll find what’s on the record, what’s only sources talking, and the two paychecks TMZ is talking about.

See it: the posts behind the story

TMZ posted its report on X late Wednesday, and it passed 100,000 views overnight. Below it is Ro’s own launch post for the Megan Fox campaign TMZ says has been “all over TV.”

What happened

TMZ’s sources say Megan has “no interest in getting involved” in MGK’s love life, and that she has cut him off except for the essentials. The two were engaged in January 2022 and split for good in late 2024. As for her own love life, the sources say she’s single and plans to stay that way while she concentrates on work.

TMZ names the work, too: the exclusive content page she launched on Subs.com this month, and her “new ad campaign for telehealth company Ro that’s been all over TV.” On the other side, the outlet points to Dakota waiting for MGK outside a Los Angeles recording studio last week, and to the pair being seen together in New York in September. The Blast and other outlets picked up the report within hours.

Confirmed vs. claimed: where the three of them stand

Here’s what each of them has actually said or done in public, kept apart from what anonymous sources claim:

• Megan, on the record: On Oct. 1 she launched her Ro Sparks campaign and told People, “I personally feel like maybe I was born for this.” On Oct. 9 she became a co-owner of Subs.com, and said in the official release: “I’m interested in what happens when women own all three,” meaning the platform, the audience and the image. She hasn’t said a word about MGK and Dakota.
• MGK, on the record: On Oct. 13 a fake screenshot went viral claiming he regretted losing Megan. He replied on X that “that tweet is faker than a pair of t—,” and an X Community Note confirmed no such post existed, Just Jared reported. He hasn’t commented on Dakota.
• MGK and Dakota, seen on camera: On Oct. 15, Page Six photos showed Dakota waiting outside his L.A. studio, getting into his Maserati, and his car still parked at her house the next morning, Page Six reported. Neither has confirmed a romance, so it stays rumored.
• Claimed, by unnamed sources: TMZ (Oct. 22): Megan is “unbothered,” single and focused on money. Us Weekly (Sept. 26): “MGK and Megan are done” and “only communicate about” logistics. In Touch (September): Megan “hopes it works out for them,” but has “major doubts” MGK is “mature enough.”

So the sources have shifted. In September, In Touch’s insider had Megan doubting MGK. A month later, TMZ’s sources have her not thinking about him at all. Both are anonymous, so neither is proof. What she does in public is the clearest clue, and lately that’s all business.

The two paychecks TMZ is talking about

Subs.com. Megan launched her own paid page on Oct. 9 and became a co-owner of the platform, which was co-founded by OnlyFans co-founder Tim Stokely, according to the press release. Page Six reported that fans rushed in so fast the site crashed on launch day. She isn’t just a creator there. She owns a piece of the company.

Ro Sparks. Her first big ad of the fall is for Ro’s prescription erectile-dysfunction treatment, which combines sildenafil and tadalafil, the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis. She plays the medication itself in a skintight red catsuit, and the campaign runs on TV with a Times Square takeover, People reported. People also notes that both ingredients are FDA-approved but the compounded 2-in-1 product itself is not. Her pitch for the job: “Why take something that is already a heavy topic and make it heavier?”

Put those next to each other and you get TMZ’s “making money” line in two deals. One makes her an owner, and the other puts her face in Times Square. Neither one needs MGK.

MGK and Dakota: the rumored romance so far

• July: they reportedly met at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden, per Us Weekly.
• Early September: they were seen going into Swift’s Tribeca apartment and then going to dinner at Estela, per Page Six. Later that month they crossed paths again at Milan Fashion Week, Marca reported.
• Week of Oct. 12: spotted together at the Hollywood speakeasy Say Yes, per Page Six.
• Oct. 15: the studio exit and his car at her house the next morning, per Page Six and TMZ.
• Oct. 22: TMZ’s sources say Megan doesn’t care.

Dakota, 37, is no stranger to steamy roles: her hub runs from “Fifty Shades of Grey” to “Verity.” MGK, 36, still hasn’t said a public word about either woman this week.

What to watch next

Three things would change this story. MGK and Dakota could go public with a red carpet or an Instagram post. Megan could say something herself, on her Subs page, in a new Ro spot or in an interview. Or the next Ro or Subs announcement could arrive, which, if TMZ’s sources are right, is where her attention really is. Until then, her best work is on screen. Start with her hub.
