Will Margaret Qualley get naked as a Bond girl? Probably not on screen. Every 007 film since 1989 has been PG-13, so nudity in Denis Villeneuve’s Bond is unlikely, and her casting is still a rumor. But she has already gone fully nude in five films.

I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot 2,000+ scenes, so trust me on this one: a studio protecting a PG-13 franchise doesn’t hand its Bond girl a nude scene. The good news is that you don’t need one. Margaret Qualley has already shown everything in The Substance, Kinds of Kindness, Drive-Away Dolls, Honey Don’t! and Stars at Noon, and every one of those clips is below.

The rumor itself exploded on Nov. 2, 2026, when Flash Crave posted that “Callum Turner and Margaret Qualley have reportedly been cast as James Bond and the lead Bond Girl in Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming 007 movie,” crediting Deadline. The post passed 3.1 million views in a day.

Is Margaret Qualley really the new Bond girl?

Not officially. Here’s what Deadline has actually reported. On Oct. 22, Deadline’s Justin Kroll wrote that Amazon MGM was setting its final Bond screen tests and that, “while unconfirmed, insiders tell Deadline that three of the four expected to test are Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and Josh O’Connor.” Amazon MGM couldn’t be reached for comment, and Deadline said there was “no timeline for when a final decision will be made” (Deadline). As of Nov. 3 we couldn’t find a Deadline story saying Turner or Qualley had been cast; its newest Bond piece, on Nov. 2, is Jack Lowden calling the 007 talk “all very flattering” (Deadline).

The Turner part of the rumor comes from Showbiz411’s Roger Friedman, who wrote on Nov. 2 that “word on the street is that Callum Turner is the next James Bond” (Showbiz411). He didn’t mention Qualley, and The James Bond Dossier called his post speculation that got “amplified into a story” (The James Bond Dossier).

Margaret’s name comes from the betting markets. The Hollywood Reporter says BetOnline gives her a 33% chance of being the next Bond girl, ahead of Sydney Sweeney and Anya Taylor-Joy at 25% (The Hollywood Reporter), and UK bookmakers tracked by Oddschecker have her as the 7/4 favorite (The Scotsman). Villeneuve directs, Steven Knight writes and Amy Pascal and David Heyman produce for Amazon MGM (Deadline).

One thing is real: Turner and Qualley already play a married couple. Deadline reported in August that they star in Parker Finn’s remake of the 1981 cult horror film Possession, which Paramount has dated for June 11, 2027 (Deadline).

Will there be nudity in the new Bond movie?

Don’t hold your breath. MI6-HQ notes that “ever since Licence To Kill back in 1989, every Bond film since has been rated PG-13 in America.” Daniel Craig’s last film, No Time to Die, got its PG-13 for “sequences of violence and action, some disturbing images, brief strong language and some suggestive material” (MI6-HQ). Suggestive is the ceiling. Amazon MGM hasn’t announced a rating, a plot or a cast for Villeneuve’s film, so anything more is a guess, but a nude scene for the Bond girl would break 37 years of franchise habit.

Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke’s road-trip comedy introduces Jamie mid-sex. “These were the most fun sex scenes I’ve ever shot,” Margaret told CinemaBlend. “Geraldine’s is pretty hot, but my stuff is like silly and funny” (CinemaBlend).

Honey Don’t! (2025): with Aubrey Plaza

The second Coen and Cooke film pairs her private eye Honey with Aubrey Plaza’s cop MG. About the bar scene, Margaret told Out: “There’s someone from the props department on their knees holding a jar of coconut oil. Aubrey’s got to lift her finger up and have it be wet” (Out). Then the two end up in bed.

Stars at Noon (2022): with Joe Alwyn

Claire Denis’s Nicaragua thriller has her journalist Trish in a run of sex scenes with Joe Alwyn. Margaret told E! News the scenes were “one part of the story” and “just another day” on set, crediting Denis’s “tenderness” (E! News).

And a myth to bust: Sanctuary (2022), where she plays a dominatrix, looks like it should be on this list, but Common Sense Media notes its sex scenes stay clothed or out of frame, with no nudity (Common Sense Media).
