Eleven days after the world learned he and Minka Kelly had split, Dan Reynolds turned up at Miley Cyrus’ comeback show with Chantel Jeffries by his side. The Imagine Dragons frontman, 39, and the DJ, 34, arrived together at Miley Cyrus’ Hollywood Bowl show on Sunday, October 18, and sat next to each other for the whole concert, according to fan videos reported by Us Weekly, E! News and Extra. Nobody has confirmed a romance, and there was no PDA. And it came just 11 days after TMZ broke the news on October 7 that he and Kelly had split.

What the videos actually show (and what they don’t)

Here’s what the reports describe, so you can tell what’s on camera from what’s being guessed:

• They arrived together. Us Weekly and E! both say the videos show them walking in at the same time.
• They sat side by side all night. Extra says they shared a box. One clip shows Reynolds clapping for Cyrus while Jeffries cheers too, per Us.
• They looked friendly, not loved-up. E! describes them “chatting and intently taking in the concert.” Us says they “weren’t seen packing on any PDA.”
• Their outfits matched the low-key vibe. He wore a brown leather jacket, white T-shirt and jeans. She wore a beige quarter-zip sweater and jeans.
• Nobody is talking. Us and E! both asked reps for Reynolds and Jeffries for comment and hadn’t heard back when they published.

So for now this is a friendly night out between two people who arrived together. A date? Possible. Confirmed? Not even close. We’ll update this page if either of them says something.

The split, 11 days earlier

TMZ broke the news on October 7 that Reynolds and Kelly had ended things after about four years. It’s unclear why. TMZ points to a People source who said the breakup “happened recently.” Neither of them has spoken about it publicly.

It caught fans off guard because nothing looked wrong. In July, Kelly posted a birthday tribute to him: “Thank you for making ordinary days feel extraordinary, for making me laugh until I can’t breathe, and for loving so deeply and so freely,” as Us Weekly and E! quoted it. In August, TMZ says, she shared a playful clip of him hiding behind her and doing her skin care, pretending his arms were hers. Their last public appearance together was the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in May.

Here’s the detail we can’t stop thinking about. On October 18, the same day Reynolds went to the concert, Kelly, 46, posted an Instagram photo dump. E! News says it showed home renovations and fall nights watching horror movies, plus a quote about soulmates: “Soulmates or partners of destiny can be people that come into your life and change your life. And ideally, it’s not about holding onto it, but understanding what they brought into your life.” She didn’t name anyone, so whether it’s about Reynolds is our guess, and yours.

Who is Chantel Jeffries?

Jeffries is a Los Angeles DJ and model. Us Weekly notes she was linked to Justin Bieber in the mid-2010s and later dated The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart; they split in the spring of 2021. She hasn’t posted or said anything about Sunday night, and neither the reports nor the clips show anything beyond two people enjoying a show together.
