I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, so trust me on this one: the hardest shot to get is the one that looks like nobody planned it. Dua Lipa just got it twice, on a sunbed, with a deck of cards.

The repost came from Turkish entertainment account Yankı Magazin, captioned “Dua Lipa’nın dikkat çeken paylaşımı,” or “Dua Lipa’s eye-catching post.” Two photos, no context, and by Nov. 3 it had passed 1.18 million views, 23,000 likes and 9,300 bookmarks. That last number tells you everything: people didn’t just look, they saved it for later.

In the first shot Dua is on all fours on a white sunbed, looking back over her shoulder at the camera in a pinstripe string bikini, with gold bangles stacked on her wrist and playing cards scattered next to her. In the second she’s lying on her stomach on the same towel, chin up, same bikini, same orange umbrella overhead.

Where the photos really come from: the “Baci” set

We matched the two viral shots to Dua’s own post. On Aug. 18, 2026 she shared a photo dump on Instagram and X captioned simply “Baci 💋” (her X post). Hello! described it the next day: the singer “posed up a storm lying under a tangerine-hued umbrella in a multicoloured striped bikini” on a sun lounger at the five-star Splendido, plus “a killer pinstripe bikini” (Hello!). The two shots Yankı Magazin reposted are from that same sunbed session: same umbrella, same terrace with the sea behind it, same bikini, same bangles. The post went up when she was 30; she turned 31 four days later.

The trip: Ella Jenkins’ hen do in Portofino

Dua was in Portofino with her girlfriends for her close friend Ella Jenkins, who was getting ready to marry filmmaker Jack Gilbert (Hello!). The day before “Baci,” on Aug. 17, she posted the first photo dump, captioned “Gaaaaaals trip bc Ella’s getting HITCHED 💍💍💍💍” (X). The Daily Mail reported the group was staying at the Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, at about £2,000 a night (Daily Mail).

That first set had its own bikini moment: a sun-lounger selfie in the mismatched With Jéan “Juni” string bikini, red-and-white stripes on one cup and green-and-blue on the other (theFashionSpot, SI Swimsuit). Reality Tea called it a “teeny tiny stringy bikini” (Reality Tea). The next day the paparazzi caught her around the resort in a white vest and denim shorts with a striped Chanel tote (Daily Mail).
