Zoey Deutch’s Halloween Costume 2026: Jessica Rabbit in a Thigh-Split Red Gown and Purple Gloves at Kendall Jenner’s Party
I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, and I can tell you the hardest thing to cast is a fantasy that was never real. Jessica Rabbit was drawn, not born: hips no woman has, a red dress that defies physics, a voice made of smoke. Zoey Deutch walked into Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party as her anyway, in a red wig and a slit up the thigh, and the photographers didn’t know where to point first.

Zoey Deutch’s Halloween costume in 2026 was Jessica Rabbit, the bombshell from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, worn to Kendall Jenner’s Halloween birthday party at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles on Friday, Oct. 30. The 31-year-old actress “channelled Jessica Rabbit in a red thigh-split gown and a matching wig,” per Daily Mail. Up close, CelebMafia adds the rest: a long, voluminous red wig over the shoulders, a saturated red slit dress, dark burgundy lips, glossy purple gloves, a red crescent bag and black pointed stilettos, with a long beige double-breasted trench coat worn open over all of it.
She wasn’t alone at the door. The arrival photos show her walking in with Jimmy Tatro in a pale blue knit shirt and white trousers, and the most-shared X thread on the party, from HouseOfVanity (6.1 million views), lists “Zoey Deutch — Jessica Rabbit, joined by her fiancé Jimmy Tatro.” Kendall’s party, an early bash for her 31st birthday on Nov. 3, also pulled in Charli XCX, Tate McRae, JENNIE, Cara Delevingne, Vittoria Ceretti and Leonardo DiCaprio (Just Jared, Whoopsee).
The photos: Zoey Deutch as Jessica Rabbit at Bar Marmont
Embedded from X, not re-hosted. The arrival photos are agency shots from outside Bar Marmont on Oct. 30, 2026; Zoey is in picture 3 of the HouseOfVanity post, which had about 6.18 million views and 11,000+ likes when we checked at about 7:35 p.m. Bangkok time on Nov. 1, 2026.
The Jessica Rabbit costume, piece by piece
- The hair: a long, bright red wig with volume at the crown and waves falling past the shoulders. Jessica’s hair covers one eye in the cartoon; Zoey kept both eyes free, and she needed them.
- The dress: a red gown with a slit high up the thigh. Every step flashed leg, which is exactly what the original was drawn to do.
- The gloves: glossy purple, the detail that tells you she knows the character. Jessica’s purple opera gloves are as iconic as the dress.
- The coat: a long beige trench, double-breasted, worn open. It hides almost everything until she moves, then hides nothing.
- The rest: a red crescent bag, black pointed stilettos and dark burgundy lips.
The red thigh-split gown and wig are from Daily Mail; the trench, purple gloves, bag, heels and lip color are from CelebMafia and the arrival photos. The cartoon comparisons and the “hides nothing” bit are our own read.
Nico’s take: she’s not bad, she’s just dressed that way

Jessica Rabbit is the laziest sexy costume on earth. Every Halloween, a thousand girls buy the same red sequin tube and call it a night. So when an actress picks her, I want to see a twist. Zoey gave me one: the trench coat.
That coat is the whole trick. On set we call it the reveal. You don’t open on skin, you make them wait for it. Zoey walked up to Bar Marmont wrapped in a detective’s raincoat, and then the slit did the talking. That’s a woman who understands that a tease beats a flash every time.
And here’s the bit nobody at the party said out loud. Jessica Rabbit was brought to life by Robert Zemeckis in 1988, three years after he put Zoey’s mother, Lea Thompson, in Back to the Future. The daughter of one Zemeckis bombshell just went as the other one. My take: in a party full of catsuits, she was the only one with a story.

One more thing from my side of the camera. Look at the walk-in photos. Jimmy is a couple of steps behind her in a knit shirt and white trousers, the most relaxed man on Sunset Boulevard, because he knows nobody is photographing him. That’s the right energy for a guy whose date came as the most famous wife in cartoon history. In the film, Roger is the funny one and Jessica is the one everybody stares at. Same setup at Bar Marmont.

The original: Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (throwback)
Throwback, not from 2026. Who Framed Roger Rabbit came out in 1988, directed by Robert Zemeckis, mixing live action and animation in a 1947 Hollywood noir. Jessica, the human-shaped cartoon wife of the frantic Roger, works as a nightclub singer, and her line “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way” became one of the most quoted in animation. Kathleen Turner gave her the speaking voice, uncredited, and Amy Irving sang her song. The red sequin gown, the purple opera gloves and the peekaboo red hair made her the go-to bombshell costume for almost 40 years.
Who is Zoey Deutch?
Zoey Deutch, born Nov. 10, 1994, in Los Angeles, is the daughter of actress Lea Thompson and director Howard Deutch. She broke out in Everybody Wants Some!!, then starred in Set It Up, Zombieland: Double Tap and Netflix’s The Politician, played Jean Seberg in Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague, and made her Broadway debut in Our Town. She turns 32 on Nov. 10, ten days after this costume. Her Halloween record with Tatro goes back years: in 2022 she went as the Pink Power Ranger while he went as a referee, per GQ’s roundup that year.
How X reacted
Zoey was one of the faces of the night’s biggest X thread: HouseOfVanity’s four-picture rundown of Kendall’s party passed 6 million views and 2,800+ bookmarks, with Zoey and her red wig in picture 3, next to Landon Barker and Ashtin Earle as Elvis and Priscilla and Odessa A’zion in black frills. Her Brazilian fan club posted the arrival set within hours. The style sites were tougher than I am: CelebMafia gave the look a 7.5 out of 10 and called the purple gloves “amusing but slightly disconnected.” Sorry, those gloves are the character.
