Sex Education Nude Scenes

Gillian Anderson: Jean in Bed (S01E07), 0:18

Sex Education nude scenes are rarer than the title suggests. Netflix’s British comedy is frank about sex, but most of its characters are sixth-formers at Moordale Secondary, and we do not post scenes of characters who are under 18. What is left are the adults, led by Gillian Anderson as Jean Milburn, the sex therapist whose son Otis starts a clinic of his own at school. Below are all three adult clips in HD with our watermark, followed by red carpet photos, the latest cast news and a FAQ.

Sex Education Nude Scenes: The Adult Cast

Laurie Nunn’s series ran for four seasons on Netflix between January 2019 and September 2023. It was filmed mostly in Wales, with a look borrowed from American high-school films of the 1980s, and it became one of Netflix’s biggest British hits. The grown-ups have some of its funniest storylines, and Jean in particular has a very busy love life.

Gillian Anderson as Jean Milburn

Jean is a celebrated sex and relationship therapist who works from home, which is exactly as awkward for her teenage son as it sounds. In the first season she has a string of casual lovers, and then the Swedish handyman Jakob Nyman (Mikael Persbrandt) comes to work on her house. Their relationship becomes one of the warmest threads of the series and runs through to the final season.

Gillian Anderson: Jean’s Sex-Ed Promo (0:35)

A Sex Education promo in which Jean Milburn gives a deadpan sex-ed demonstration with a cucumber and a tomato. Funny rather than explicit.

Rakhee Thakrar as Miss Sands

Emily Sands teaches English at Moordale and is one of the few staff members the pupils actually like. In Season 2 she is in a relationship with Colin Hendricks (Jim Howick), the hapless science teacher, and her storyline is one of the show’s gentler running jokes.

Sex Education Cast

Asa Butterfield plays Otis Milburn and Emma Mackey plays Maeve Wiley, the pair at the centre of the show. Ncuti Gatwa became a star as Eric Effiong and went on to play the Doctor in Doctor Who. Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee Gibbs) later won a new wave of fans in The White Lotus, and Mimi Keene played Ruby Matthews. All of those characters are pupils at Moordale, so their scenes are not on this page.

Among the adults, Gillian Anderson plays Jean, Mikael Persbrandt plays Jakob, Rakhee Thakrar plays Emily Sands, Alistair Petrie is the strict headmaster Michael Groff, and Samantha Spiro is his wife Maureen.

Sex Education Red Carpet Photos

Gillian Anderson in white on the red carpet at Cannes in May 2026, at the London opening of All About Eve with Lily James in 2019, at the Berlinale in 2017 and at Comic-Con in 2013, plus Rakhee Thakrar at The Asian Awards in London.

Sex Education News: Is There a Season 5?

No. Netflix confirmed before the fourth season that it would be the last, and it premiered on September 21, 2023. Creator Laurie Nunn has said Moordale could support spin-offs one day, but nothing has been announced. The cast has kept busy instead. Gillian Anderson spent 2026 on a run of new projects: she walked the Cannes red carpet in May for a new queer horror film with Hannah Einbinder, directed by Jane Schoenbrun, she co-stars with Kerry Washington in Ben Affleck’s Netflix thriller Animals, and she was announced for a West End revival of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.

About Sex Education

The show was praised for treating sex, consent, sexuality and bodies with unusual honesty, and Aimee Lou Wood won a BAFTA for it in 2020. That honesty is also why there is so little here: Netflix built the series around teenagers, and the explicit material mostly belongs to them. Jean is the exception, and Gillian Anderson plays her with total confidence, from the promo above to the bedroom scenes with Jakob.
